Jumper Presentation & Player Auction Evening

Book this night into your calendar as the launch of the very important 2010 season. It will be a fun night where leadership groups will be announced, jumper & jacket numbers presented etc. If you are requesting a particular number it would be a good idea to start bribing your coaches & team managers now. The highlight of the night will be the player auction which promises to be a lot of fun. talk to Teagan & Simon on how that will work.

Information Evening

Halls Head Football Club presents a Players Information Evening at Coodanup Community Centre – Wanjeep St Monday 5th of March at 7:00pm.

Featuring guest speaker Mr Jim Western, Senior Trainer at the West Coast Eagles as well as representatives from:

Australian Medical Supplies
Positive Fit Gym

Discussing various issues such as Hydration, Diet and Sporting Footwear amongst others.

We invite all junior players, parents, coaches and managers to come along. Attendance is compulsory for all senior players as this is part of your training program.

There will be Halls Head shorts and socks available to purchase on the night, as well as mouth guards, water bottles, sports drinks and gels plus other products that you will need for the 2010 season.

Bar & Storage Shed

You may have noticed the new shed just near the canteen has now just about been completed. The shed will have a number of usages & especially as a bar facility on home game days. It will have the customary lean to & open fire heating on game days. We are sure it will get great use until the existing club rooms are developed in years to come.

ANZAC Day Match

A real highlight of our season is the ANZAC Match on the 25th April which this year falls on a Sunday. Last year we had our biggest crowd of the year on this day & we expect this year to be a huge event.

We are playing Baldivis with the Colts game commencing at 1.30pm followed by the Reserves & League at 6.15pm. There will be a shortened game from 2 of our youth sides during the day.

Before the League game at around 6pm there will be a special event where we recognise the importance of the day. All parents, grandparents etc who accompany a Halls Head junior into the ground will be admitted free of charge. If you want to be involved in your local Community on this important day Merlin Reserve is the place to be.

Food & Bar facilities will be available.

Welcome to 2010

Welcome to the 2010 season. There has been heaps happening in preparation for our entry in to the League competition. Firstly the coaches for 2010 are:

League & Senior Coach – Todd Jenkins
Fitness & Conditioning Coach – Martin Kelly
Reserves Coach – Silver Wilkins
Colts Coach – Gary Brandis

Pre season training started in December & has been progressing well. The players are certainly going to be fit.

The fixtures have been released and will be published here momentarily. The fixtures, ladders, results etc will be linked to the SportingPulse website a bit closer to the season start.

The good news is that we have 10 home games out of the 18 qualifying rounds with 1st game on the 11th April 2010.
