Blayne Wilson excelled with the WA U18 Representative Side

Two of our previous juniors & currently registered colts players Chris Luff & Blayne Wilson (pictured) recently played for WA in the all conquering state U18’s side.

Both played in key backline positions & were outstanding in the carnival with Blayne being named in the All Australian side at Full Back.

Both boys are being spoken of as draft selections next year.

Even though they have been very busy at Peel & state representation they have both spent time helping around the club & Chris played probably his last game on a couple of weeks ago in the Colts versus Mandurah.

His younger brother Nick was promoted from the 16’s to share this day. Congratulations to Chris & Blayne, you are doing Halls Head proud.

Laine Wilkins has been selected to represent WA

Halls Head 15’s player Laine Wilkins has been selected to represent Western Australia at this year’s State Schoolboys football championships.

This is a great achievement by Laine and a credit to his football ability and work effect.

With strong family support from Silver, Suzy and Teagan, Laine has excelled in his football over the past couple of years, winning the 14’s association Fairest and Best last season and representing Peel Thunder in the 14’s development squads.

With his tall athletic build, Laine has a strong mark and raking left foot kick, with outstanding ability to read the play. We wish him all the best for the upcoming carnival in Queensland and are proud to have in our club.
